Mike Edelstein has spent the past
thirty five years teaching sustainable planning and
other courses relating to
people's relationship to
the environment, 31 of them at Ramapo College of New
Jersey, where Mike heads the Environmental Studies
Program. Mike has also spent the past thirty years as
an environmental activist fighting the toughest
battles for a
sustainable Orange County, New York, most of it as
head of the non-profit
Orange Environment, Inc. Mike also conducts active
research on things that really matter. Mike is known
world wide for his work on the psychological effects
of environmental contamination; see his latest book
Contaminated Communities, 2nd Edition (Westview Press,
2004).
Given Mike Edelstein's strong Democratic and Union
credentials, Mike won both the endorsements of the
Democratic and Working Families Party.
Now Mike Edelstein has to win on
November 8. The only thing standing in Mike's way is
an incumbent Republican holding a voter registration
edge and a half million in his war chest. Having
beaten both
the mob, big industry and big government in
environmental battles, Mike Edelstein figures that
with some young political talent at Mike's side, Mike
can win this battle too. Early reaction on the street
says if Mike can mount an aggressive campaign, Mike
Edelstein will prevail.
Come help MIKE EDELSTEIN make this a successful
campaign. Mike Edelstein is looking for all talent for
work big and small.

Friends of Michael Edelstein, 845-282-1624.

This is a call for any young dem to volunteer in an important
campaign in Syracuse.
My name is Adam Bushey and I just joined the Young Dems about
6 months ago. I have been very involved in politics in CNY
and I am now the campaign manager for Bea Gonzalez. She is
a wonderful woman, and the first Hispanic to win an election
in Onondaga County. She is currently running for City Council
President and she has a tough race ahead of her.
She championed the City Earned Income Tax Credit and helped
a living wage be passed in Syracuse. She works with the community
and not above it. I had opportunities to work with several
candidates for different positions, and I choose to work with
Bea because I think she is in it for the right reasons.
Please e-mail if you are willing to do any work on this campaign.
Helpful work can even be done in a satellite fashion.
