The Webmaster is responsible for the functionality of software that supports the New York State
Young Democrats website (www.youngdemsny.org ). The ability to manage projects without extensive oversight is crucial to
this position.
Responsibilities include:
* Working with the Communications Director.
* Maintenance of hosting service.
* Managing domain names.
* Setting up eCommerce and password protection on web pages.
* Programming modifications to the existing websites and applications. Minimum once a week.
* Assisting with the creation of new web sites as needed.
* Setting and maintaining RSS/XML feeds.
* Producing flyers graphic artwork with Photoshop for the promotion of YD events.
Required Skills:
* Proficiency in Macromedia Dreamweaver.
* Proficiency of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
* Proficiency of FTP software.
* Knowledge in Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator.
* Familiarity with XML technologies: XSL, X-Path, XML, DOM, RSS, Atom.
* Confidentiality (yes, it's a learned skill)
Desired skills but not required:
* Familiarity with SSL, data encryption and credit card processing.
* Knowledge of PHP a big plus.

POSITION: As directed by the Board, the District Manager maintains a district office and provides administrative support to the board and its committees. The District Manager designs and supervises activities for public engagement, planning and advocacy. The District Manager works closely with elected officials, governmental agencies, and local residents, businesses and service providers to address community needs and service requests. The District Manager supervises all staff, administers the office budget and ensures full participation by the board in all relevant matters. Since many of the board's meetings are held in the evening, the position requires flexible working hours, including evening work.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBLITIES:
. Organize monthly meetings of the board and its committees;
. Participate in all full board meetings;
. Participate in committee meetings as needed;
. Represent the board as needed at public meetings and hearings;
. Chair monthly district service cabinet meetings;
. Monitor community conditions; address citizen complaints;
. Supervise board office staff;
. Maintain communication among board members, community members and others using postal mailings, e-mail and the CB2 website;
. Direct the office filing and archiving system in support of the board and its committees.
QUALIFICATIONS: College graduate; excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; experience managing community development projects and/or public sector experience helpful; experience supervising staff; professional experience in urban planning and/or other urban disciplines desirable; proficiency in MS office applications essential, other computer skills desirable. The District Manager must be a NYC resident.

DoITT provides an array of services to other City agencies as well as directly to the citizens of New York through the 3-1-1 Citizen Services Center, NYC TV, NYC.gov, and its GIS, Data Center and Telecom Divisions.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
(New York City Residency required within 90 days of appointment)
Responsibilities will include:
Oversee and actively participate in the scheduling and workforce management function at the 24x7x365 Call Center.
Expert manipulation of workforce management software;
Scheduling software to serve the ongoing needs of the Call Center staffing requirements;
Ensure 311 Call Center is staffed according to projected needs on a daily basis;
Coordinate vacation requests;
Communicate schedules to Call Center Supervisors;
Provide written reports as needed; answer Call Center calls periodically.
* Due to the 24x7x365 operation of the 311 Citizen Service Center, business necessities may require to work various shifts such as weekends and/or evening shifts under certain circumstances. *
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience managing and coordinating a team responsible for forecasting, budgeting, scheduling and workforce management in a Call Center environment;
Proficiency and extensive experience with at least one of the following Workforce scheduling software packages is strongly desired: Genesys, Blue Pumpkin/Witness, IEX, Aspect/TCS, ISC;
Strong analytical skills required;
Proficiency in standard desktop software used for call and workforce forecasting and budgeting including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access;
Experience with budgeting and capacity planning preferred;
Experience with vendor management is desired;
Strong management, organizational, time management, oral and written communication skills are critical;
Demonstrated knowledge of New York City government, demonstrated leadership, staff development and analytic skills is preferred.
CIVIL SERVICE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
A Master's Degree from an accredited college in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, human resources management, management science, operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, or a closely related field, and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience working with the budget of a large public or private concern in budget administration, accounting, economic or financial administration, or fiscal or economic research; or in management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation; or in personnel or public administration, recruitment, position classification, personnel relations, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning/administration, labor market research, economic planning, social services program planning/evaluation, fiscal management, or in a related area, 18 months of which must have been in an executive, managerial, administrative or supervisory capacity. Supervision must have included supervising staff performing professional work in the areas described above

A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college and four years of professional experience, including the 18 months of executive, managerial, administrative or supervisory experience, as described in '1' above.
